Telehealth Options

All services are provided by telehealth and we offer the choice of video or telephone consultations. Most people find that video consultations are more personal however some people feel more comfortable and less exposed with a telephone call.

For video consultations, we use a secure health platform called Healthdirect Video Call which is powered by Coviu. It has been purpose-built for health settings and has the highest level of privacy and security. It does not store any data.

We email you a link prior to your appointment or you can click on the button below. There is no need to download anything, you simply click on the link at the time of your appointment and wait in the virtual waiting room until your therapist joins you.

FAQ

  • Do I need a referral from my GP?

No. You are welcome to self-refer by calling the practice directly.  People are often referred by their GP under a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) which enables them to claim a Medicare rebate, however you can refer yourself if you’d like to claim through your private health.  We can discuss referral options with you when you ring.

  • How long is a psychology appointment?

At Coral Coast Psychology each appointment will be 50 minutes to 1 hour, and the time is reserved especially for you.

  • Do you do one-off assessments for Centrelink?

No, we do not offer one-off assessments. Report requests from existing clients who are currently engaged in therapy will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

  • Do you do reports for court?

No. Medico legal reports are outside the scope of our practice.
