Terrina Mitchell

Terrina has more than 20 years experience as a Clinical Psychologist and works with adults and older teens. She has a warm, empathic and non-judgmental therapeutic style and aims to build strong and trusting therapeutic relationships. When not working, she is spending time with her two children and fostering their sporting interests. She enjoys a rural lifestyle and has a strong passion for horses.

Terrina is an endorsed Clinical Psychologist and holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Australian National University. Terrina has worked in a number of different settings with a broad range of people. In her early career she worked in a community mental health service in rural NSW, then moved to remote QLD to develop a social and emotional wellbeing program to service the town and outlying areas. In 2007 she founded Coral Coast Psychology and she has been working in private practice since.


Terrina has extensive experience in helping people with mood and anxiety disorders, adjustment issues, grief and loss, low self-esteem, chronic pain, and those seeking to improve their general well-being. She is dedicated to providing an individualised approach that makes you feel comfortable and cared for. Terrina draws from evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Therapy, Schema Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR).
